Mackenzie started dancing at a local dance studio in Calgary when she was three years old and completed her dance education there in 2012. She trained in many disciplines which included Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Modern, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre. She has completed numerous Ballet exam, the most recent one being her Advanced 1 I.S.T.D. exam. During her years at dance competitions, Mackenzie has won several high score awards and overall achievement awards for her solos and trios that she performed with her two sisters. Her proudest moment was when she received the Tammy-Lynn Powers Memorial Tap Scholarship through the Wild Rose Dance Arts Association in 2011 for her tap solo.
Mackenzie is ADAPT certified as of July 2018 and is also a certified Acrobatic Arts instructor. She is currently preparing for her ISTD Associate Ballet exam which she is planning to take in November 2018.
Mackenzie graduated in 2014 from the Mount Royal University Theatre Performance Program where she performed in various theatre and musical theatre productions. She was trained in an assortment of disciplines including stage combat, clowning, Laban Movement Analysis, and other theatrical training.
Currently, Mackenzie is at Mount Royal University finishing up her Bachelor of Business Administration in which she will be graduating from in December 2018.
